Trailer Living Quarters Project

I found that taping off where I wanted things helped us decide what woudl work where.  It also was great when we were placing the frame work for the boot box and cabinets.
The laminate floor was one of the easiest steps to do.
Some of the furring and insulation in & the ceiling started.
The messy bed!  I used 3/4 " rope for my crown molding and put it up with hot glue.  The pruning shears wokred great for cutting it.
Bandana curtains were fast and easy to make.  I do want to make some additional covering to put up at night for darkening for a better nights sleep.
Ta Da!  My first attempt at making my own cabinets and doors!  I learned what to do and what not to do!  I used a blue stain and water based poly urethane for a finish.  It was fast drying and I could get 3 coasts on and hang them the same day.
I have not added the inside shelves yet, as we wante dto do a trial run so we would know where we wanted the shelves to be.  The tall cabinet houses the port a potty and hat boxes.
The boot box folds out to make a bed that is 24" x 80".  It has 4" foam pads and was pretty comfortable. Plus, since it's small, you get a bed to yourself!
We have a swing out lamp on the cabinets end.  It allows us to put he light where we want it, in bed to read or out to the counter.
The counter is 29" long, 21" deep, ceramic tile.  We had some left from my duaghters' new home.  It looks great adn the price was right.
You can ssee the boot/ bed box better here.  It's 15" deep, and the flase front is 9".  The legs store in the box.  I did have to cut a knotch to get the bed made as the tall cupborad stuck out further than I figured for it to work. Test everything before you leave!  If I hadn't, I would have bene out a bed the first night!
The long & slant wall meet for a tight corner.  I would make more furring strips on this if doitn again.  I would also fur the slant wall out more than just the trailer frame.  the hooks werea  pain in the neck to wokr around and I forgot the ceiling curved a bit.  I can use something to cover that up!
the hooks proved to be handy on the road. we hung out bags up there at night and also some show clothes between classes.
I started with a 1995 Sooner trailer.  3 horse slant, 4' short wall.
